MLK Day Service 2012

Lum's Pond a Delaware State Park was the recipient of Delaware Futures MLK service commitment this year. The junior class bundled up and got to work spreading gravel on a horse trail at the equestrian barns. The horse trail had been eroded by the recent unpredictable weather and was a hazard for horses and riders. The juniors chipped in and did yomen's work.

Health and Wellness Seminar

Delaware Futures freshmen took part in a health and wellness seminar at Shop Rite food market. The seminar was lead by Murray Shuler Director of Food management and Diane Pollock Head chef. The seminar centered around healthy food choices and easy to make meals, nutritious, and come in under budget. The students participated in the preparation of the meals and also tasted the final product.

Delaware Futures Graduate Panel 2012

Delaware Futures held its annual Graduate Panel on January 5, 2012. The panel consists of Delaware Futures alumni who are currently in college. The alumni spans from first year freshmen to fourth year seniors. Each classification has important information to relay to the current Delaware Futures students. The alumni shared information about each college they attend, their majors, their activities, and how Delaware Futures prepared them for their journey.
